Learning Objectives are: 1. To discuss and work co-operatively in groups to decide on the most important rights for a child. 2. To put a strong case to the UN for it to include your Article in the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child. This is an easy to follow step-by-step lesson which results in some well-formed argument. There is a plan to show progression, which is hyperlinked to the resources, a PowerPoint that models each stage and the resources for the pupils to use. Activities include: Diamond nine Group work Presentational skills Discussion Structured writing Cause and effect Panel of experts Use of debate phrases Sometimes after uploading and downloading the hyperlinks don't work. If they don't, the resources are all contained within the file for you to use. The hyperlinks were there to make things easier but are not the only way to access the resource.
